Site Highlight: The Mainstreet Cakery (in Fairview)

The Mainstreet Cakery Cafe. This may sound familiar to some of you who frequent our blog, as we’ve already given you a full layout of The Cakery in Millcreek at Copperleaf. However, we recently visited The Cakery in Fairview, and we figured why not give you all a little preview of what that location of The Cakery is like.

So a lot of things are the same. For instance, the menu. The atmosphere is also very similar.

However, outside of The Cakery in Fairview, there is a covered tent that you can choose to dine under, along with a small gazebo that houses a few two top tables. Under the tent, you’ll find heaters to keep you warm while you enjoy your food on those crisp Autumn days.

We decided to order some Fall drinks, and thought we would detail those for you. One of us chose the Pumpkin Cappuccino. This Pumpkin Cappuccino seriously tastes like you are drinking pumpkin pie. It has a really good amount of spice, but it’s not overbearing. The other drink we chose was the Blueberry Cobbler Coffee. It was good; it definitely had a blueberry aftertaste to it. Oddly enough, we put pumpkin pie spice creamer in it and it was actually very good! But you can definitely put a simple vanilla creamer in. And honestly, chocolate or hazelnut creamer would probably be really yummy in it as well.

We also wanted to show you the food we got, to give you more ideas of what they serve at The Cakery. One of us got a Mushroom and Swiss Burger with Chips, and the other got a Tuna Melt with Pickles. Both were very good!

When you go inside of this location, you will enter and immediately see the counter and the bakery case. You can pay for your meal, as well as grab a bakery item to go if you enjoyed your food outside, in front of this restaurant in Fairview, PA. To your left, you will see an entryway into the dining room, and the kitchen behind the dining room. You can also, obviously, choose to sit inside. And if you’re just looking for a bakery item, then by all means, come on in and pick some out!

Crumbl Cookies

Crumbl Cookies

We were recently given a tip about a bakery in Mentor, OH. With a trip to the Cleveland Zoo planned (blog coming soon), we opted to stop by on the way home. We didn’t know what to expect. Bakeries are all so different; some themed the way of being cutesy and some themed dark, such as Orlando favorite Gideon’s.

But Crumbl Cookies is of its’ own feel. It’s modern. It’s simple. And their cookies are simply delicious, inspired by flavors, foods, and desserts of all kinds!

View from the outside

Location:

When we walked in, everything looked as though this bakery was a small business owned by some very chic people. It took us by surprise to find out that we were so wrong. When we looked up the location again to write this blog, we quickly found out that Crumbl Cookies has over 250 locations across the United States!

And now that we know we visited a franchise (nothing wrong with that, just completely unexpected as we thought it was a small business), the location we visited is at 9662 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, OH 44060. You can find a complete list of their locations here.

Property Description:

Crumbl Cookies has such a sleek and modern design. The walls are stark white. When you walk in, right in front of you, you will see a counter to pick up your order. If you look to your right after walking in, “Crumbl Cookies” is written on the wall in a simple font in a shade of black. Underneath the logo are two ordering screens and gift cards available for purchase. Straight ahead, you will see the actual kitchen behind glass.

To your left, you will find a counter with all of the available Cookies for the week on display. There’s also a menu on a TV above the counter. You can order your cookies here, too, if you’d like, which is what we did. We had some questions so we wanted to chat with the employees for a minute.

What to Do:

Crumbl Cookies is strictly a cookie place. With the iconic Chocolate Chip cookie and the Pink Sugar cookie always on the menu, Crumbl has 4 other cookies that rotate flavors weekly. The flavors we encountered were Pumpkin Chocolate Chip, Sherbet, Blueberry Cheesecake, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip. But if you want something to drink to go with your cookie, they do have milk and water.

If you want to try these cookies but you don’t want to make the trip to Mentor, you can order cookies online and have them shipped right to your door! Here’s the link: Try Crumbl Cookies now!

If you go into the bakery to get your cookies, you will find that there are no tables inside. There is, however, one table outside that you can sit and enjoy your cookies at.

Who Can Go:

Crumbl Cookies is easily accessible by anyone who wants to come in and enjoy a delicious cookie!

You can also join the Crumbl rewards program! For every dollar you spend at Crumbl, you get one loyalty crumb. For every 100 crumbs you get, you will receive $10 worth of Crumbl Cash to use in store or online!

Final Thoughts:

We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again over and over, we’re not here to review.; we’re just here to let you know what’s out there. With that being said, these are some of the most delicious cookies we have ever eaten. If you’re looking for simple cookie bakeries in Mentor, OH, definitely try Crumbl.

Click here for directions to and a map of this shopping center in the Cleveland, OH area.

Property Description:

This property is set up as one of a kind shopping in Beachwood, Ohio. With numerous storefronts, you can walk along the brick pathways as you take in the colorful flowers and enjoy the music playing through the speakers outside. As a side note, the kids loved the music; random “dance mode” (people who watch ‘Bluey’ may understand this reference) parties broke out when they heard an upbeat song.

Things to Do:

There are so many things to do at Legacy Village! You can shop major retailers or small businesses, enjoy food and dine at one of the many restaurants, hit the gym, go furniture shopping, get your nails done, go grocery shopping, check out a gallery, or even listen to live music! Legacy Village has something for everyone!

High end shops such as White House Black Market and Lilly Pulitzer will leave you looking fabulous, while local shops such as Merchants Mrkt. Food in Legacy Village is plentiful, including the ever popular Starbucks and Chipotle. I’m not going to lie, I enjoyed a Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher as we walked around. Bar Louie, The Cheesecake Factory, and California Pizza Kitchen are great casual sit down options, while The Capital Grill and The Melting Pot provide more of a romantic evening out or a memorable night for your group. Check out the Legacy Village website for more food options on your visit!

One of our favorite things about Legacy Village is the outdoor space. It’s huge and full of seating. You can Instagram your trip to Legacy Village with a Polaroid style photo booth, or just enjoy the beautiful foliage and brick pathways.

If you’re looking for live music in Cleveland, check out Legacy Live! Every Saturday from July 10-September 11, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. the Stage on the Lawn (located near Bar Louie and California Pizza) hosts live music from a variety of genres!

Who Can Go:

This is a beautiful outdoor center, and all are welcome. Brick pathways and cement make it very easy to push a stroller or wheelchair. Elevators are located in every area that has a second level location.

We recommend checking the signs in the store and restaurant windows before you enter; some places are currently requiring masks for all, no matter your vaccination status.

Lilly Pulitzer

Final Thoughts:

Overall, we were pleased with our visit to this shopping center in Beachwood, OH. We did, however, see quite a few empty storefronts available for rent. Hopefully these will repopulate soon, as this is a beautiful shopping, dining, and lifestyle center that many used to frequent pre-pandemic.

We would definitely recommend stopping by Legacy Village if you’re ever in the area, as it’s a great place to hang out, dine, and shop in Beachwood, OH. It’s definitely a great place to wander around, but make sure to check out their website to determine if they have what you’re looking for if your needs are specific!
